Are you an experienced and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher seeking a rewarding teaching opportunity?

Tradewind Recruitment is currently recruiting for a long-term position in Year 2 for the rest of the academic year, with the potential for a permanent role starting from the following academic year at a primary school based in Harborne, Birmingham. This full-time position entails complete teaching responsibilities, providing you with an excellent platform to showcase your skills and expertise.

Role Overview:

Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons to Year 2 students, employing a diverse range of teaching methodologies and resources to cater to various learning styles.

Develop and implement a well-rounded curriculum that meets the academic, social, and emotional needs of the students.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes a love for learning, collaboration, and respect among students.

Continuously assess student progress, offering constructive feedback, and adapting teaching strategies to ensure ongoing improvement.

Collaborate with fellow educators to plan and coordinate interdisciplinary projects, school events, and extracurricular activities.

Establish effective lines of communication with parents and guardians, delivering regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns.

Engage in professional development activities to enhance your teaching skills and remain up-to-date with the latest educational practices.

Requirements:

Qualified teacher status (QTS) and relevant teaching qualifications.

Previous experience teaching Year 2 students, with a solid understanding of the national curriculum and age-appropriate teaching techniques.

Excellent classroom management abilities, enabling you to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and fellow educators.

A genuine passion for education, a commitment to student success, and a nurturing approach to teaching.

The capability to differentiate instruction and provide personalized support to meet the diverse needs of students.

Strong organizational and time management skills to plan lessons effectively, assess student work, and provide timely feedback.

Contract Details:

This long-term position is available immediately and will continue until the end of the current academic year. As a successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to secure a permanent position starting from the following academic year, subject to performance evaluation.
