Job Description

Our client, a reputable consultancy operating within the highways and transportation sector, is seeking an experienced NEC 4 Supervisor to join their team on a contract basis. This role involves working with complex highways and transportation schemes, ensuring timely and budget-aligned delivery from construction through to handover.

• Collaborate closely with the NEC4 Project Manager and Client Project Manager to foster a collaborative project environment
• Ensure compliance with project specifications and quality standards during all construction activities
• Coordinate with a variety of stakeholders including contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and the project management team
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential safety hazards
• Attend and contribute to site meetings, providing updates on site activities and progress
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, such as daily logs, inspection reports, and safety records
• Prepare and submit regular progress reports
• Ensure all site activities comply with contractual terms and conditions
• Assist in managing change orders, compensation events, and other contractual issues
• Supervise contractors on site and verify valuations for completed works

• Experience and knowledge of NEC and highway projects
• Experience of working on local authority schemes
• Strong communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders at various levels, including the public
• Experience working on highways and transportation infrastructure projects, including walk/cycle schemes
• Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously, handling construction values ranging from 100k to 5m
