Key Responsibilities:

• Teach and Inspire: Plan and deliver engaging, dynamic art lessons to students at Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring a love of creativity and expression.
• Student Development: Support and mentor students in developing their technical skills and personal creative styles, fostering an inclusive and encouraging classroom.
• Curriculum Contribution: Work collaboratively with the Art Department to contribute to and enhance the curriculum, creating opportunities for innovative and interdisciplinary learning.
• Exhibitions and Showcases: Lead and support student involvement in school exhibitions and displays, encouraging students to present their work to the school community.
• Classroom Management: Create a positive learning environment that supports all students, maintaining effective classroom management strategies and promoting respect and inclusion.

The successful Qualified Teacher will have:

• QTS with Art & Design specialism (ECTs are also welcomed)
• Experience of supporting and teaching children up to Key Stage 5.
• Experience working within a Secondary Setting
• A good understanding of Safeguarding and Child Protection
• Excellent classroom management
• Behavioural Management experience
