About the role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in SEMH needs to join our supportive team. This full-time, long-term position will involve working across Key Stage 1 and 2, providing tailored support to students with varying levels of SEMH needs. You will work closely with the class teachers and the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) to create a positive and supportive learning environment for these pupils.

Application Requirements:
• Experience working with children, ideally in a SEN or SEMH setting.
• A passion for working with children and supporting their emotional and educational development.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive approach, with the ability to use initiative and adapt to a variety of situations.
• Ideally, a relevant qualification or experience in supporting students with SEMH needs (e.g., Team Teach, or similar training).
• A commitment to ensuring the welfare and safety of all students.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs across Key Stage 1 and 2.
• Assist in the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and tailored learning strategies.
• Support students in managing their emotions and behaviors, promoting positive interactions.
• Help create a calm, structured environment that fosters academic and emotional development.
• Work closely with teaching staff, SENCo, and other professionals to track student progress and adapt support as needed.
• Be a positive role model, encouraging students to engage in lessons and school activities.
