INDICATIVE OUTSIDE IR35 DETERMINATION
As the Contract Electronics Design Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the complete design, development, and testing of electrical systems, ensuring functionality and full compliance with CE directives. This role requires proficiency in designing hardware, creating schematics, and ensuring that products meet safety and EMC standards, ideally including CB certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Development: Lead hardware design, produce detailed schematics, and oversee PCB layout creation to develop compliant products.
Prototyping & Testing: Develop and test prototypes, conducting simulations and analyses to ensure compliance with reliability, EMC, and safety standards.
Standards Compliance: Ensure designs comply with CE directives, coordinating with certification bodies to secure required certifications.
Technical Documentation: Maintain clear documentation, including design specifications, test results, and certification records.
Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with engineering, product design, and manufacturing teams to integrate electrical components into larger systems.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Experience: Proven background in electrical and electronics design, with a strong track record of developing safety and EMC-compliant products.
Essential Skills:
Proficient with schematic capture software (e.g., Altium Designer).
Experience with STM32 microcontrollers, analog sensor interfacing, and motor control systems.
Ability to create firmware in C/C++ for hardware testing and production.
Skilled in designing electromechanical products to meet safety and EMC standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
Proficiency in PCB layout tools (e.g., OrCAD PCB, Altium Designer).
Experience with analog front-end design for multi-spectral optical sensing.
Experience with image processing hardware using DSP and FPGAs.
CB product safety certification experience
