An Events Fundraiser is required for a fixed term 12-month contract based in Halifax. This unique role is within a brilliant team who are very successful and committed to the Charity. You will be following a 12-month calendar of prebooked events to ensure maximum fundraising success along with compliance, safety and positive outcomes for all involved.
Duties will include;
* Maximising fundraising and ensuing every event provides an excellent experience for all involved.
* Planning, organising, maximising fundraising for the list of pre-scheduled events throughout the calendar year.
* Review and report on progress of fundraising goals.
* Process accurate records of funds, compliance, into Excel records and the Donorflex database.
* Liaising with suppliers, venues, volunteers, donators and partners, offering clear communication and correspondence inline with charity compliance and standards.
* Ensuring the safety measures and compliance are in place and recorded.
* Meticulous management of processes.
* Contribute positively to the charities mission and team.
* Evaluate and offer improvement recommendation for the repeated events.
* Assist in the recruitment of volunteers and supporting them with their fundraising and initiatives.
* Assisting in the setup of events which will include manual handling/ lifting.
About you :
* Experienced in either event management or in a fundraising role.
* A strong communicator who can relate to a wide range of supporters, partners and volunteers ensuring the finest details are managed.
* Have a sound understanding of health and safety.
* Be meticulous with detail and records, confident with Excel, Mail Merge, through to databases, ideally Donorflex or similar charity database systems.
* Ideally you will have knowledge or experience with the Code of Fundraising Practice.
The role:
The working hours are either 32 hours per week or 37.5 hours per week to be set at interview. There is the requirement to work circa 11 weekends per year for the events and preparation, where you will be given time back in lieu via Monday to Friday hours. Hours of work can be discussed to suit.
There is free parking at the venue and the working week would either be fully office based or 1 day from home as a hybrid option. You will need to travel to the events venues, to see suppliers and partners.
Due to the nature of the charity, you will need to complete a background check as part of the process.
