Management Accountant

Duration: 12 months FTC

Salary: £45,000

Location: Manchester City Centre

About the role: 12 months maternity cover needed. The Management Accountant will play a key role in preparing, analysing and reporting financial information to support strategic decision-making. This position requires a strong understanding of Management Accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to efficiently communicate financial data.

Responsibilities:

Prepare/Calculate month end journals including payments/ accruals, accrued/deferred income

Preparation of Management Accountants for several limited companies within the group

Month end reporting including profit & loss

Strong attention to detail and an ability to reconcile multiple of sources of income is key

Assist with the Group VAT return and payment process

Assist the Head of Finance with any other projects as requiredIdeal Candidate:

Experience: a minimum of 3-5 years in a Management/ Cost Accountant role

Finalist or newly qualified (CIMA/ACCA or equivalent)

Strong IT Skills, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot table, VLOOKUPs etc)

Excellent attention to detail

Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working independently
