Non-Functional Test Lead

Client: Energy Sector Client

Location: Northern Ireland (Hybrid/Flexible)

Start Date: Jan 2025

End Date: 11-month contract with potential extensions until March 2031

Day Rate: £350-£400

Contract Type: Outside IR35

Our client, a prominent player in the energy sector, is seeking an experienced Non-Functional Test Lead with a minimum of 15 years’ experience to oversee and execute non-functional testing activities for key projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and make a significant impact within the client’s testing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, execute, and oversee all non-functional testing activities.

* Collaborate with the project team to determine in-scope NFT projects and prepare comprehensive test plans.

* Step in to prepare and execute tests in the absence of an available NFT Analyst.

* Identify testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies that align with the project’s non-functional testing needs.

* Define and create test environment and test data requirements.

* Lead the execution of NFT scenarios, such as load tests, stress tests, and endurance tests.

* Provide detailed test reports, including insights, observations, and recommendations for improvements.

* Lead training and development sessions to enhance the NFT skills of team members.

Required Skills & Experience:

* A minimum of 15+ years of experience in non-functional testing.

* Extensive experience in planning and executing non-functional tests.

* Strong knowledge of testing tools, frameworks, and methodologies for NFT.

* Proven ability to collaborate and provide leadership in a testing environment.

* Experience in leading load, stress, and endurance tests.

* Ability to provide detailed reports and actionable insights based on testing results.

Additional Details:

* Working Hours: 40 hours per week

* Contract Duration: 11 months with potential extensions up to 6 years

* Clearances: None required

* Overtime: Available with manager approval
