Job Title: Maintenance Operator / HGV Driver (Highways)
Location: CB2 4 (Sawston)
Duration: 6 Months (with potential to go permanent)
Rate: 16.49 per hour (Nights, Winter Maintenance) + Overtime at Base + 50%
Weekly Standby Retainer: 143 per week (in addition to basic salary)

About the Role:
Join our client, a renowned leader in the UK's Highway Services and Maintenance portfolio, as a Maintenance Operator / HGV Driver. This night-shift role focuses on essential highway maintenance works, including gritting operations, to ensure safe and well-maintained roads during the winter season.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out highway maintenance tasks, including gritting and other essential works.
• Operate HGV vehicles efficiently and safely.
• Participate in a weekly standby rota to provide emergency cover.
• Ensure adherence to all safety and operational standards.

Essential Requirements:

• HGV Class 2 License (Category C).
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification.
