Vehicle Technician
Job Overview
To maintain the council’s fleet of vehicles, plant and equipment to include inspection, servicing, test preparation, fault diagnosis and repair.
Responsibilities
* Carries out vehicle / plant / equipment inspection, servicing, test preparation, fault diagnostics, maintenance and repair.
* Completes all written or computerised vehicle and job sheet records on completion of work.
* Interprets information received from drivers and users of plant and equipment.
* Removes all waste and redundant parts for disposal or recycling.
Requirements
* MOT Tester Certificate
* Ability to use Workshop ICT systems , vehicle diagnostic, Electronic job cards.
* Full UK Driving Licence
Hours & Pay
* Monday - Friday
* £16.10- £17.29 p/H
* Weekly Pay (whilst on agency, then moves to monthly)
* Pension Contributions and On-Site parking
