Hunter AHP is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Locum Pharmacy Assistant to join a busy NHS hospital in Buckinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, providing vital support to the pharmacy team while working in a patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescribed medications.

Support the pharmacy team in stock control, including the ordering and shelving of pharmaceutical supplies.

Manage patient prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.

Assist with the delivery of medication to various hospital wards.

Provide support to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals regarding the safe use of medicines.

Maintain accurate records of medication orders and inventory.

Participate in ensuring a high standard of customer service to patients and staff.

Essential Requirements:

Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant, ideally in an NHS or hospital setting.

Understanding of medication management and pharmacy operations.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medication.

Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Ability to manage tasks efficiently and prioritize a busy workload.

Hourly Rates:

The role offers competitive hourly rates between £14 to £15 per hour, depending on experience. The position is flexible, with the option to work 3, 4, or 5 days per week, providing a good work-life balance.
