TeacherActive is currently working hard to find 1:1 Learning Support Assistants who want an exciting new role for the new year. The school we are working with believes in the magic of learning and the power of individualized support.

The school is vibrant and dedicated to nurturing the unique potential of every student. They are looking for a dynamic and compassionate 1:1 Learning Assistant to join our team full-time starting in Janaury 2025.

All people working in a school will need an enhanced DBS on the update service, if you do not have this then we can assist by sending you over a direct link for you to apply to. If you have been working overseas for over 6 months within the last 5 years, you will need an OSPC (Overseas Police Check) - Both of these are needed due to safeguarding, so will be a requirement for all school environments.

As a 1:1 Learning Assistant, you will be the guiding light for our students, providing tailored support and encouragement to help them navigate their educational journey. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons.
• Providing one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs.
• Developing and implementing individualized support plans to meet each student s unique needs.
• Collaborating with teachers, therapists, and parents to create a supportive and effective learning environment.
• Encouraging and fostering a positive, inclusive atmosphere where every student feels valued and capable.

What We re Looking For:

• Level 2/3 qualification as a teaching assistant or equivalent
• A passion for working with children and a commitment to their educational and personal growth.
• Experience working with SEN students is a plus, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, empathy, and a sense of humour.
• A valid driver s license and reliable transportation are required.
