One of our SEN schools in the Channel Islands is looking for an outstanding Primary phase SEMH Class Teacher to join a dedicated team who are committed to breaking down SEMH barriers to learning. This fantastic school caters for children aged 9 to 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, providing them with a positive, safe, vibrant community.

This exciting Primary SEMH Class Teacher role combines beautiful surroundings with a rewarding challenge. You will be responsible for promoting learning through well-planned lessons for KS2 pupils. If you have experience working in an SEMH school, with strong behavioural management skills and a patient approach, this could be the perfect position for you.

This is a full-time contract, available immediately until 11th April 2025.

Skills and requirements:

• QTS
• The right to work in the UK
• DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
• An understanding of Special Educational Needs (SEN) and the barriers to learning
• Experience teaching in a SEMH school
• Strong classroom and behavioural management skills
• Ideally available to start asap.
