Hunter AHP is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Locum Pharmacy Assistant to join a busy NHS hospital in Buckinghamshire. This is an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience in a hospital pharmacy setting, providing vital support to the pharmacy team while working in a patient-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and dispensing of prescribed medications.
• Support the pharmacy team in stock control, including the ordering and shelving of pharmaceutical supplies.
• Manage patient prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
• Assist with the delivery of medication to various hospital wards.
• Provide support to pharmacists and other healthcare professionals regarding the safe use of medicines.
• Maintain accurate records of medication orders and inventory.
• Participate in ensuring a high standard of customer service to patients and staff.

Essential Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Pharmacy Assistant, ideally in an NHS or hospital setting.
• Understanding of medication management and pharmacy operations.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling medication.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to manage tasks efficiently and prioritize a busy workload.

Hourly Rates:
The role offers competitive hourly rates between £14 to £15 per hour, depending on experience. The position is flexible, with the option to work 3, 4, or 5 days per week, providing a good work-life balance.
