Job Description

Our client is currently looking for a polisher/inspector to provide comprehensive metal polishing and inspection services.

Job duties will include but not limited to:

Polishing finished components to a range of standards including standard eighty-grit belt finish to sateen, super sateen and mirror

Use polishing equipment to polish radius of components

Use inspection equipment such as verniers, micrometers, PI tapes and CMM or Faro

Inspection of goods in, goods out, sub contract work and all purchased parts

Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)

In process and finished goods inspection

Process auditing

Calibration of measuring equipment

Signing first and last inspection reports

Reporting of non-conforming parts

To ensure zero defects reach end user

Entering technical data on to computer spread sheet packagePerson Specification:

Previous experience in a similar role

Must have PCN Level 2

Be aware of personal responsibilities under Health and Safety regulations and attend appropriate training

Co-operate with risk assessments and ensure that risks are identified and reported as they arise and attend appropriate training

Be aware of and adhere to policies and procedures applicable to the roleShifts:

Monday – Thursday: 7am – 16:45pm

7am – 7pm

7pm – 7amThis is a permanent position for the right person
