My cient is a reputable contractor specializing in social housing maintenance and are looking for a skilled and reliable Maintenance Electrician to join our team. This is a temp-to-perm position, offering an excellent opportunity for career progression within a growing company. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring electrical systems in social housing properties are safe, functional, and compliant with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on electrical systems within social housing properties.
• Conduct fault-finding, diagnostics, and rectifications on electrical installations.
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and emergency call-outs as required.
• Ensure compliance with current electrical regulations (e.g., BS 7671) and safety standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service, communicating effectively with tenants and property managers.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, including reports and certification.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors to complete multi-disciplinary tasks.
• Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety guidelines.

Requirements:

• Qualified Electrician with NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations Certification is essential.
• Experience working in social housing or a similar environment is desirable.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
• Full UK Driving License is mandatory (a company vehicle may be provided after a successful probation period).
• Valid ECS/CSCS card preferred.
• Good communication and organizational skills.
