Currently recruiting for a Teaching Assistant on a part time basis for a Primary School in Croydon to support their High Needs Provision.

Key Responsibilities: Teaching Assistant - High Needs Provision - West Thornton, Croydon

• Support the class teacher in the delivery of individualized learning programs tailored to the needs of students with high needs.
• Assist children in their daily activities, both in the classroom and around the school.
• Provide emotional, social, and behavioural support to children, promoting inclusion and positive learning experiences.
• Work closely with external agencies and professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for students.
• Help to implement strategies for managing challenging behaviours and support students with personal care needs, as required.
• Observe and monitor student progress, reporting back to the class teacher and other staff members.
• Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.

We are looking for someone who is:

• Passionate about working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).
• Patient, kind, and empathetic with a strong desire to make a difference.
• A team player with the ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external specialists.
• Adaptable and able to support children with varying needs, including physical, emotional, and behavioral challenges.
• Previous experience working with children in a similar setting is desirable but not essential.
