Position: Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO)
Location: Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands

Are you an experienced SENCO looking for an exciting new challenge? A well-regarded secondary school in Sutton Coldfield is seeking a dedicated and passionate SENCO to join their team from January 2024. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead and shape the school's SEN provision, ensuring every student has the support they need to thrive.

• Lead and manage the school's SEND provision, ensuring compliance with the SEND Code of Practice.
• Develop, implement, and monitor strategies to support students with additional needs.
• Collaborate with staff, parents, and external agencies to create tailored support plans.
• Oversee the assessment and identification of SEND students, ensuring appropriate interventions.
• Provide training and support to teaching staff on best practices for inclusive education.
• Manage the SEND budget and resources effectively.

• Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent qualification.
• Demonstrable experience as a SENCO or in a leadership role within SEN.
• Strong knowledge of SEND legislation, including the SEND Code of Practice.
• Proven track record of improving outcomes for students with SEND.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

• Experience in a secondary school setting.
• Ability to work collaboratively and foster a culture of inclusion and high expectations.
