Career Teachers are seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) for a long-term position at a thriving and diverse community primary school in Southwark, with the potential for a permanent appointment.

Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Teacher children in the ASD base once a week
Coordinate and deliver high-quality support for pupils with additional needs, ensuring their access to an inclusive and engaging curriculum.
Work collaboratively with teachers, support staff, parents/carers, and external agencies to achieve the best outcomes for students.
Maintain and monitor the SEND register, ensuring appropriate interventions are in place.
Ensure that statutory requirements such as Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) are fully implemented and reviewed regularly.
What We're Looking For
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential.
NASENCO qualification (or willingness to work towards this).
Proven experience working with children with SEND.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
An ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and families.
