About the Role:
Supply Desk is delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a passionate and qualified Humanities Teacher to join a vibrant mixed secondary school near Bournemouth from January 2025, on a two-term contract running until July 2025. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on students learning across a range of humanities subjects in a dynamic and supportive teaching environment. For the right candidate, there is the potential for the position to become permanent.

As a Humanities Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4, ensuring students gain a thorough understanding of various humanities disciplines, including Geography and History. You ll work closely with the humanities department to support student progress, maintain excellent classroom management, and foster a positive, inclusive atmosphere within the school.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver engaging Humanities lessons across Key Stage 3 and 4
• Ensure the delivery of a challenging, high-quality curriculum across humanities subjects
• Maintain effective classroom management and foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Differentiate lessons to meet the diverse needs of all students
• Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development of the humanities curriculum
• Support students academic and personal growth, nurturing their passion for the humanities
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing timely feedback to aid their continued development

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have recent experience teaching Humanities in UK secondary schools
• Be passionate about delivering high-quality lessons and supporting student progress
• Demonstrate strong classroom management and a genuine enthusiasm for the humanities
• Be adaptable and thrive in a collaborative team environment
• Possess excellent communication skills and a positive, student-centered approach
• Be confident in creating a supportive and engaging classroom atmosphere
• Be eager to contribute to the development of the humanities curriculum
