Job Overview:
Rikama Education is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) who is passionate about supporting the academic and personal development of children, especially those with special educational needs. The ideal candidate will be an integral part of our inclusive team, supporting students in achieving their full potential.
As a HLTA at Rikama Education, you will:

Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to individual students or small groups, particularly those with special educational needs.
- Assist with planning and delivering tailored lessons and interventions.
- Support children with personal care and behavioural management where necessary.
- Help assess student progress and contribute to the creation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Work closely with teachers and other professionals to ensure effective integration of all students.
- Support the class teacher in managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Provide feedback to students, teachers, and parents on student progress.
- Engage with and promote the school's ethos, values, and commitment to inclusion.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Hold a Level 2 or higher qualification in English and Maths (GCSE or equivalent).
- Have previous experience working in a school setting, ideally with children who have special educational needs.
- Be a good communicator with excellent written and spoken English skills.
- Have a strong understanding of Maths and how to support students with varying levels of ability.
- Be passionate about improving the educational outcomes for children with special needs.
- Possess the ability to work well under pressure, demonstrate flexibility, and work as part of a team.
