SEN TA with Specialism in Challenging Behaviours
Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £85-£100 per day

About the role:
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children with special educational needs? We are seeking a skilled and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant specializing in managing challenging behaviours to join a vibrant primary school in Hackney. In this rewarding role, you will work closely with Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 students who require additional support, providing tailored interventions that help them thrive academically and socially.
This full-time, long-term position is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of behavioural strategies, a patient demeanor, and the ability to foster positive relationships with students and staff.

Application Requirements: We are looking for candidates who:
• Have experience supporting children with challenging behaviours and SEN needs.
• Hold a relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 TA certification) or have equivalent experience.
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Are confident in using de-escalation techniques and managing classroom dynamics.
• Are passionate about creating inclusive and inspiring learning environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with challenging behaviours.
• Develop and implement strategies to manage and reduce behavioural incidents.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENCO, and external specialists to create individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being among students.
• Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate effectively with parents and staff.
