Job Title: Machine Operative

Location: Gravesend

Hours: Monday to Friday, 2pm - 11pm, 40hrs per week

Pay: £11.44 - £12.50 per hour

Contract Type: Temp to perm for the right candidate

FLT Certification: Preferred but not essential

Swanstaff are working with a leading manufacturing company in the Gravesend area, seeking a dedicated Machine Operative to join their Finished Goods team. This role offers the opportunity to develop your skills within a forward-thinking and expanding company.

Key Responsibilities:

* Operate and set up various machines and equipment in the Finished Goods area under the guidance of the Finished Goods Manager and Shift Team Leader.

* Ensure safe use of all machinery and equipment, adhering to safety protocols.

* Maintain and complete production paperwork accurately.

* Monitor and ensure the quality of products throughout the packing process, reporting any concerns with quality standards promptly.

* Carry out routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, troubleshooting, and minor repairs of the machinery.

* Contribute to process improvements and help implement best practices to enhance overall productivity and efficiency.

Experience and Skills:

* Previous experience in machine operation is required.

* Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

* Ability to work independently and within a team.

* Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
