About the role: We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Reception Teacher who is committed to fostering a love of learning in young children. Offering the chance to work in a calm and structured classroom environment with planning already in place. You will be part of a well-supported EYFS team, working closely with an experienced EYFS Lead, a classroom Teaching Assistant (TA), and a 1:1 TA to ensure every child’s needs are met. In this role, you will use the Sounds-Write phonics programme to deliver engaging and effective literacy sessions. You will also focus on purposeful play-based learning to encourage children to explore, investigate, and develop essential skills. Guided play will be a cornerstone of your teaching, as the school emphasises its importance in helping children grow creatively and cognitively. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of early childhood development and experience working with young learners, including those with additional needs. Your role will involve adapting and delivering planned activities to suit the needs of all children while fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment. Application Requirements:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience in Early Years education.
* A strong understanding of purposeful play and its role in child development.
* Experience using phonics programmes, preferably Sounds-Write.
* Demonstrated ability to support children with additional needs.
* A passion for fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning in young children.
Key Responsibilities: As a Reception Teacher, you will:
