Job Title: CSW - Youth Justice Officer (PO3)

Location: Newham Dockside, London Borough of Newham

Hours: Full-Time (36 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM)

Rate: £28.00 per hour (Inside IR35)

Closing Date: 5th December 2024 at 5:00 PM

Service Care Solutions is assisting the London Borough of Newham in recruiting for a dedicated Youth Justice Officer to join their Children and Young People (DCS) Directorate. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a vital service that makes a tangible difference in the lives of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments using Asset Plus.

Develop and implement innovative, person-centered intervention plans addressing needs and risks.

Provide written and verbal reports to Youth and Crown Courts, acting as Court Officer when required.

Work collaboratively within a multi-agency setting to safeguard children, protect victims, and the wider community.

Apply a child-first, trauma-informed approach to deliver effective services.

What We're Looking For:

Proven experience working with challenging children, ideally in a youth justice setting.

Strong report-writing skills and the ability to present information effectively in court settings.

Experience in multi-agency, public, or voluntary sector environments.

Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.

Familiarity with systemic practice and restorative justice principles.

Proficiency in case management, including assessment and intervention planning.

Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
