Job Description

Daley Recruitment are seeking X-Ray Screeners for our client based in Colnbrook.

X-Ray Screeners will be required to work 5/6 days a week, 2pm to 10pm with 30 min unpaid break.

The Role:

The X-Ray Screener will be responsible for using an x-ray machine to conduct screening and security checks for prohibited items of cargo to be transported by air.

Duties and Responsibilities:

· X-Ray screening parcels ready for export.

· Conduct screening and security checks for prohibited items of cargo to be transported by air, in line with training and CAA regulations.

· Recording and escalating any issues or concerns.

· Pallet screening.

· Maintain focus and awareness within a busy environment.

· Tolerate moderate to loud level of noise in work environment.

· Utilise knowledge of airline codes, prefixes, common cargo abbreviations.

· Follow instructions from supervisor or lead screener.

· Assisting in general warehouse duties.

Skills, Competencies & Attributes:

· A proactive approach to work with the ability to prioritise tasks.

· Must be physically fit due to Manual Handling.

· Excellent visual observation and identification ability.

· Excellent literacy, numeracy and IT skills.

· Flexible attitude to working hours, shifts and work activities.

· Excellent communication skills

· Previous industry experience.

· Accuracy and attention to detail.

Essential Requirements:

· 5-year employment history in the UK - must be verifiable.

· Clear Criminal Record Check (Basic DBS Check).

· NXCT.

· Cargo Operative Screening - COS.

· Right to live and work in the UK.

Training can be provided for exceptional candidates with excellent industry experience.
