Job description - Engineering Project Manager
We are currently seeking several skilled and experienced Project Managers with expertise in Engineering, Supply Chain & Procurement, and Manufacturing & Operations to join our dynamic team. During this significant change and transformation phase for our client, the Project Managers will be responsible for the successful planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring that all objectives are met on time, within scope, and within budget
As a Engineering Project Manager you will be responsible for:
Project Management: Lead the planning and implementation of aerospace projects from initiation to completion, ensuring all milestones and deliverables are achieved.
Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including clients, senior management, and external partners, providing regular updates on project status and addressing any issues or concerns.
Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including personnel, budget, and equipment, to optimise project outcomes and meet deadlines.
Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimise impact on project timelines and objectives.
Budget Management: Develop and manage project budgets, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost-effectiveness throughout the project lifecycle.
Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including plans, schedules, reports, and performance metrics, ensuring transparency and accountability.
Continuous Improvement: Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancements and implementing best practices in project management and aerospace engineering.
Change and Transformation: Lead and manage change and transformation initiatives, ensuring a smooth transition and alignment with organisational goals.What we require from the Engineering Project Manager:
Extensive experience in project management within Aerospace, Defence, Automotive, or other highly regulated engineering sectors, with a proven track record of leading successful projects across Engineering, Supply Chain & Procurement, and Manufacturing & Operations.
Proven track record of working within projects that are highly focused on change and transformation is essential.
Previous experience in using Primavera P6 for project planning, scheduling, and resource management, including the ability to create and manage complex project schedules, track progress, and generate detailed reports.
Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams, manage complex projects, and drive results in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex information to diverse audiences.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients.Next steps
