CNC Wood Machinist

Location: Doncaster
Pay Rate: 13.50 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, Full-Time 8am -4:30pm
Contract Type: Temporary (Permanent Contracts Offered After 12 Weeks)

We are looking for an experienced CNC Wood Machinist to join our woodworking team. The role involves programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality wood components. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills in CNC machining, a deep understanding of woodworking, and the ability to work with precision to meet production targets and specifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Program, set up, and operate CNC wood machining equipment (e.g., routers) to manufacture custom and production wood components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, CAD models, and design specifications to ensure accurate production.
• Select appropriate materials, tools, and bits for each job, ensuring optimal machine performance and product quality.
• Carry out machine adjustments and tool changes as required during the production process.
• Monitor machine operations, performing regular quality checks to ensure accuracy, precision, and adherence to specified tolerances.
• Troubleshoot machine and programming issues to minimize downtime and maintain production efficiency.
• Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning, lubricating, and inspecting CNC machines to ensure optimal operation.
• Sand, finish, and prepare wood components for further processing or assembly as needed.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to ensure seamless workflow and project completion.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, particularly in the use of power tools and woodworking machinery.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
