Do you have experience supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? Join Dunbar Education as an SEMH Teaching Assistant at a highly respected Special Educational Needs (SEN) school in Wolverhampton, starting this January.

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Provide tailored support to children with severe learning difficulties and SEMH needs.
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
• Work closely with teachers, therapists, and other staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
• Support students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and academic abilities.
• Contribute to creating a positive and enriching school experience for all learners.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated individual with:

• Experience working with children with SEMH needs and/or severe learning difficulties.
• A genuine passion for supporting the development of young learners.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• The ability to remain patient, empathetic, and adaptable in challenging situations.
• A willingness to work as part of a collaborative team.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience in an SEN school or similar environment.
• Knowledge of strategies to support children with SEMH and special educational needs.
