Planning Engineer

Power Networks, Transmission & Distribution

Contract

£464 per day Umbrella

We need a Planning Engineer for a prestigious construction project in Waltham Abbey.

You will:

* Identify and manage key internal and external interfaces including,

* procurement,

* consents,

* dependent projects

* Work closely with key internal and external stakeholders ensuring buy-in to the project schedule.

* Ensure plans are validated using benchmark data, and design information (BIM) where available.

We're looking for:

Essential

* Significant planning experience working on a variety of construction and infrastructure projects.

* Proficient in Primavera P6

* Knowledge and experience in elements of power networks or power generation

* Proficient in Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)

* Full Driving Licence and ability to spend time in a construction office 3 day per week in Waltham Abbey

Desirable

* Knowledge and experience working with BIM and 4D planning

* Qualified to degree level, would be advantageous as would having formal project management qualifications such as APM or PRINCE2

* Knowledge of procurement processes and forms of contracts like NEC Option C Target Cost

Would suit a Planner, Project Manager, Operations Engineer or a Project Engineer.
