KS2 Teaching Assistant

Location: Primary School in Chingford, Waltham Forest
Salary: Starting 90-95 per day
Hours: Full-time, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Start Date: January 2025

This is a fantastic opportunity for a skilled and experienced KS2 Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping pupils achieve their potential during this pivotal stage of their education.

The Role:

As a KS2 Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Work across tow classes in upper KS2 (year 5 and 6)
• Provide tailored support pupils, helping them prepare for their SATs and transition to secondary school.
• Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons, support small group activities, and foster a positive learning environment.
• Assist in identifying and addressing individual learning needs, ensuring that every pupil can thrive.
• Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents to support a collaborative approach to education.

The Ideal Candidate:

We are looking for a candidate who has:

• Previous experience supporting KS2 pupils, particularly in Year 5 and 6.
• Strong knowledge of the Year 5 and 6 curriculum and ideally SATs preparation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A proactive and flexible attitude, with the ability to work well as part of a team.
• A genuine passion for making a difference in children's education.
