IT Systems Administrator

Contract | €300-€350/day | Cork

A client of mine is seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join their team in Cork. This role focuses on managing and supporting IT systems, ensuring smooth operations, and contributing to infrastructure improvement projects.

Responsibilities:

Manage and maintain Windows Server environments, including Active Directory and Group Policy.

Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for IT systems and infrastructure.

Oversee the deployment and administration of Microsoft 365 and Azure services.

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot server and network issues.

Participate in infrastructure projects, including upgrades and migrations.

Manage backups, disaster recovery plans, and patch management.

Document system configurations and processes to ensure operational efficiency.Requirements:

5+ years of experience in IT system administration or a similar role.

Strong expertise in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware).

Proficiency in Microsoft 365, Azure, and PowerShell scripting.

Knowledge of networking protocols and firewall management.

Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator or CompTIA Server+ are highly desirable.
