Job Overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Pharmacist (Band 7) to join a private hospital team in Hertfordshire. The position offers a rewarding role in providing high-quality clinical pharmacy services to patients. The successful candidate will be responsible for dispensing medications, providing advice on pharmaceutical care, and working alongside a multidisciplinary team to support optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm (with 30-minute break) OR Monday to Friday, 9am - 5:30pm (with 1-hour break)
• Start Date: ASAP, with a start window in December or January
• Duration: Minimum of 6 months (with possible extension)
• Hourly Rates: £27ph - £37ph, depending on experience
• Shift Pattern: Full-time, weekdays only

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical pharmacy services to patients, ensuring safe and effective use of medications
• Conduct patient medication reviews and offer advice on pharmaceutical care
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals in a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient treatment plans
• Monitor the safety and effectiveness of drug therapies, adjusting as necessary
• Educate patients on proper medication use and potential side effects
• Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with hospital standards
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital policies

Essential Qualifications and Requirements:

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Previous experience in a clinical pharmacy role, preferably in a hospital setting
• Proven ability to work within a multidisciplinary team
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Knowledge of current pharmacy practice and regulations
• Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload

Desirable Skills:

• Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy (e.g., Clinical Diploma or MSc)
• Experience working in a private healthcare setting
