SEN TA with Specialism in SEMH Needs
Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £85-£100 per day
Location: Ealing

About the role:
We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in SEMH to join our team. This is a full-time, long-term role where you will support children in Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 who face emotional and mental health challenges.
Your role will be pivotal in implementing tailored support plans to help students develop coping strategies, emotional resilience, and positive behaviours. You will work closely with class teachers and support staff to ensure that every student can access the curriculum and participate in school life to their fullest potential.

Application Requirements:
• Previous experience working with children with SEMH needs.
• Knowledge of SEMH strategies and interventions.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships.
• A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to working with children.
• Relevant qualifications or training in SEN or SEMH (desirable but not essential).
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide individual and small group support to students with SEMH needs.
• Develop and implement strategies to manage and improve emotional well-being and behaviour.
• Foster a calm, supportive classroom atmosphere to help students feel safe and secure.
• Monitor and track student progress, reporting on emotional and academic development.
• Collaborate with teachers, SENDCo, and parents to ensure consistent support across all settings.
