Finance Officer

Location: Birmingham Hybrid work patternSalary: £13.02 per hour

Hays is collaborating with a local council to recruit a Finance Officer on an interim basis. This role involves investigating queries and contacting clients regarding their financial assessments and care charges.
Key Responsibilities:

Support the team with financial assessments
Handle purchase ledger and sales ledger tasks
Manage debt recovery and other charging-related work

Requirements

Strong numerical skills and proficiency with financial systems
Ability to work accurately, concisely, and quickly
Excellent communication and telephone skills
Preferable: Finance background and experience in local authority or public sector
