Head of Data - Hybrid Remote (flexible location) 

Bibby Financial Services have an exciting opportunity available for a reliable Head of Data to join our team. This role will be hybrid and can be based in any of our UK offices. You will join us on an initial 12 month, fixed term contract (potential of permanent placement in the future) and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of £90,000 - £110,000 per annum.

The Head of Data role:

The Head of Data will lead the data strategy and execution for BFS whilst ensuring alignment with the overall strategic business objectives. The Head of Data is accountable for value creation by leveraging the companies data and analytics assets and is pivotal in driving data-driven decision-making across the organization and ensuring strong data governance and data integrity are enforced.

Your responsibilities as our Head of Data will include:

Strategic Data Leadership

Develop and implement a comprehensive data strategy aligned with the company’s strategic goals.

Develop & communicate clear roadmap, ensuring that it is flexible & evolves with the business

Culture & people

Drive adoption of data strategy roadmap activities ; skills plan, use case adoption, frameworks adoption, usage adoption, data-driven culture roll out ; drive & develop data team ; collaborate across business with key stakeholders and external stakeholders

Act as a key liaison between the data team and other business units.

Team Leadership and Development

Build and lead a high-performing data team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities for team members.

Data Analytics and Insights:

Lead the development of advanced analytics capabilities to provide actionable insights.

Collaborate with business leaders to identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics.

What we are looking for in our ideal Head of Data:

Proven experience in a senior data leadership role, preferably as a Head of Data or Chief Data Officer.

Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.

Expertise in data governance, data quality, and data protection regulations.

Proficiency in data analytics tools and technologies.

Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

Advanced degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field is preferred.
