We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to work with young students with various needs ranging from complex to profound. You will provide one-on-one support, helping students engage with their learning and develop independence, literacy and mathematics skills. If you have patience, creativity, and a desire to make a real impact in the lives of these pupils, we would love to hear from you!
The successful PMLD Teaching Assistant applicant will be given an exciting opportunity to work as a part of a fantastic school in Lambeth where your energy and experience will be valued as you play an important part working each day towards the schools aim to meet the varied needs of its students.
As a PMLD teaching assistant, you will enjoy a high degree of job satisfaction as you have the opportunity to apply your skills to working with primary school students who need support building their independence and life skills through play and art therapy.

Based in Lambeth, and near to Loughborough Junction station, this fantastic school is a friendly and well respected in the local community with students across the school ages 11-19.
Pupils from Lambeth and across surrounding areas who attend this school are offered a broad and balanced curriculum, that is tailored around an extensive knowledge of their learning difficulties and tailored to them.
Support and training offered every week to further develop your knowledge and skills as an SEN teaching assistant for children with varied needs.
You will be working with skilled Teachers and PMLD Teaching Assistant's in a classroom environment The PMLD Teaching Assistant Responsibilities
Work with class teachers to raise the learning and attainment of pupils
Promote pupil's independence, self-esteem and social inclusion
Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning and experience a sense of achievement
Support with planning, preparation and resourcing for lessons
Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities
Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school's policy and procedures
Organise and manage teaching space and resources to help maintain a stimulating and safe learning environmentThe PMLD Teaching Assistant Applicant
