Job Description

Monarch Education are working alongside a Primary School in the Telford area and they're looking to welcome in a new Qualified Teacher. This role will be from January 2025 to cover a Year 2 class whilst the main class teacher is on maternity leave.

Job roles include but are not limited to:

• Be able to plan and deliver lessons aligned with the national curriculum, focusing on core subjects such as Mathematics, English and Science.
• Adapt and learn different teaching strategies to meet all diverse learning needs and abilities if all students.
• Emphasize phonics and reading comprehension skills.
• Establish and enforce rules to maintain a positive and respectful learning environment.
• Communicate with parents through meetings, emails or newsletters to discuss their progress and their areas for improvement.

The ideal candidate will hold:

• A Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
• An enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one
• Experience working with a Year 2 class
