Job Description

We’ve got a fantastic opportunity for a Planner to join the Transport Team to join a large logistic company based around the South Elmsall area.

Duties of the role include but not limited to:

• Plan Vehicle Runs for around 45 Vehicles

• Ensure all deliveries and collections are in line with planned requirements.

• Provide problem solving guidance on any operational issues such as late changes to plans and compliance with policies and procedures

• Maintain compliance and conformance for safe working practices and working time regulations.

• Ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times.

• Proactively identify opportunities for improved operational efficiencies

• Assist with driver and vehicle allocation, booking agency drivers, sub contractors

Skills required:

• Experienced transport route planner, within general haulage

• Knowledge of RTR & WTD

• Reliable and flexible to meet the needs of the business

• Effective communication skills

• Organised, and able to prioritise and multi-task

• IT literate, competent in Microsoft packages

• Excellent communication and analytical skills
