Job Description

IT Project Manager - £450-£500 per day - Inside IR35 - Hybrid 1 day a week on site near Gloucester - 6 months initial contract.

My client, one of the UKs leading producers of ZERO CARBON electricity, is seeking an IT Project Manager to oversee medium-to-large, complex IT projects and workstreams within major change programs. You'll ensure the successful delivery of initiatives within scope, quality, time, and budget constraints. This role demands expertise in managing multiple projects concurrently, maintaining strong stakeholder relationships, and driving outcomes aligned with strategic business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution: Define, document, and deliver projects or workstreams using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.

Planning & Monitoring: Develop realistic project and quality plans, estimate costs and resource requirements, and monitor progress against KPIs.

Team Leadership: Lead and motivate cross-functional teams, allocating tasks and appraising performance.

Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with internal teams, external suppliers, and senior stakeholders.

Risk Management: Identify risks, develop contingency plans, and ensure alignment with the business case and governance standards.

Project Reporting: Provide regular updates to Project Boards and Senior Management on progress, risks, and key deliverables.

Continuous Improvement: Capture and implement lessons learned to optimize future project delivery.

Skills & Experience

Proven experience delivering Azure-related projects and managing concurrent large-scale IT projects.

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence.

Experience working in regulated industries (e.g., financial services).

Deep understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies and how to tailor approaches to business needs.

Certifications: APM and PRINCE2 Practitioner (Highly desired).

Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with vendor management and external supplier relationships
