We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEND Teacher to join our inclusive and supportive primary school in Sheldon, Birmingham. This full-time role focuses on working within our SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) Provision, supporting pupils with a range of SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities).
Key Responsibilities:
Full teaching responsibilities including lesson planning, preparation, and assessment.
Support pupils with SEMH needs, promoting their emotional, social, and academic development.
Actively participate in Parents Evenings and any additional meetings or responsibilities as directed by the Headteacher.
Collaborate with the school team to develop and implement strategies that support SEND pupils.
Maintain strong communication with parents, carers, and outside agencies to ensure the best possible outcomes for pupils.
The Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Teacher Reference Number (TRN).
Ideally, has completed their induction year and can demonstrate significant experience working with SEND pupils, particularly those with SEMH needs.
Demonstrates a commitment to inclusive education and has a strong understanding of the specific needs of pupils with SEMH.
Able to work full-time and take on the full responsibilities of a class teacher.
Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a flexible and proactive attitude.
