About the Role:
As an Art Teacher, you will play a crucial role in nurturing students' artistic talents and helping them develop their creative skills. You will work closely with a team of dedicated professionals to create and implement engaging art lessons tailored to each student s abilities.

Key Responsibilities of Art Teacher:

• Develop and implement engaging art lessons, assessing each student s unique needs and abilities, and setting specific learning goals.
• Provide one-on-one and small group instruction tailored to students needs, ensuring they receive the attention and support they need to succeed.
• Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching strategies as necessary to ensure that each student is progressing towards their goals.
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure a cohesive approach to each student s education and well-being, sharing insights and strategies to support their development.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported, encouraging positive interactions and a sense of community.
• Use a variety of teaching methods to engage and motivate students, catering to different learning styles and preferences, and making learning enjoyable and effective.
• Keep detailed records of each student s progress, including assessments, observations, and feedback, and communicate this information to parents, support staff, and other relevant parties to ensure transparency and collaboration.

Requirements of Art Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Prior experience in teaching art or a related subject is essential.
• Excellent communication skills are crucial for effectively interacting with students, parents, and colleagues, fostering positive relationships.
• Demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain strong, supportive relationships with all members of the school community, creating a positive and collaborative environment.
• Show a deep commitment to helping students develop their artistic skills, exhibiting patience and empathy in interactions.
• Relevant qualifications or training in art education (desirable but not essential).
• Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
