TeacherActive are excited to be working with a lovely, inclusive Primary School located in Merthyr Tydfil. The Primary School strive to provide a supportive learning community where everyone achieves in a happy, safe and respectful environment. The staff and pupils work together to constantly aim to improve by learning from one another as well as the community around them.

The Primary School are looking to take on a driven Teaching Assistant / TA to work across their Foundation Phase and Key Stage 2 supporting children in their learning on a 1:1 basis. The successful candidate will need to be resilient and have a passion for creating valued relationships with both the staff and pupils they work with. You will be working with children that have ASD, ADHD, mild challenging behaviour and are non-verbal. Having qualifications in British Sign Language and/or Team Teach would be admirable but not a requirement.

The successful Teaching Assistant / TA will have:

• Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant / TA qualification
• Experience working one to one with pupils with Additional Learning Needs / ALN
• TEAM teach qualified is a preference but not required
• Excellent classroom management
