Reception Teacher
Hours of Work: 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM, Term Time
Pay: £160-£210 per day
Location: Hammersmith and Fulham
Job Type: Full Time, Long Term
About the role:
We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a vibrant, Outstanding-rated two-form entry primary school in the heart of Hammersmith and Fulham, London. This role is set to start in January 2025 and offers a full-time, long-term position. You will be taking over a lovely Reception class in a supportive and welcoming school environment, working closely with a team of Teaching Assistants and benefiting from the school’s Read Write Inc. phonics programme to support your teaching.

About the school:
Our school is a family-oriented community where children, parents, staff, and governors work together to provide a nurturing and inspiring environment. The school has a Nursery attached and caters to a diverse range of children. The Senior Leadership Team (SLT) is highly supportive, ensuring a positive work-life balance for all staff members. There is minimal SEN in the Reception classroom, with a few Teaching Assistants on hand to offer additional support as needed.
Application Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
• Experience in teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage.
• Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and phonics programmes.
• A passion for working with young children and supporting their development.
• Excellent communication skills and a strong team player.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead and teach a Reception class using the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
• Deliver engaging, effective lessons and create a positive, supportive classroom atmosphere.
• Implement the Read Write Inc. phonics programme to support early literacy development.
• Monitor and assess children’s progress and provide feedback to parents.
• Collaborate with TAs and other staff to ensure the success of each child in the class.
