Job Description

Milk Education is looking to hire a SEND Support Assistant to work one to one with a child in Year 6 within a supportive primary school based in Barnet.

This is a school, that prides itself on having a supportive SLT, who care about children's and staff's well-being. The school also offer regular training sessions for staff, ensuring that they are consistently upskilled.

SEND Support Assistant Role & Responsibilities:

* Supporting individuals with complex needs who are non verbal

* Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs

* Work with the teacher in lesson planning, evaluating and adjusting lessons/plans as appropriate

* Deliver catch-up sessions

SEND Support Assistant Non-negotiables:

* Must have 1 year of experience working within a school environment

* Previous experience supporting individuals with SEND

* Must possess good numeracy and literacy skills

* Must have the ability to work under the guidance of the teacher
