Role Overview:
As a Psychology Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons to students across Key Stage 4 and 5. You will help students develop a deep understanding of human behavior, the brain, and the mind, while fostering skills in critical thinking and independent research.
You will have the opportunity to teach A-Level Psychology and potentially contribute to the development of the curriculum for the subject at GCSE. You will work closely with a supportive and passionate team of teachers, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Psychology for Key Stage 4 and 5 students.
Foster an engaging classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their potential.
Prepare students for internal and external assessments, including GCSE and A-Level exams.
Contribute to the development of the Psychology curriculum and extracurricular opportunities.
Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
What We Are Looking For:
A qualified teacher with a relevant degree in Psychology (or a related field) and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
A genuine passion for Psychology and a desire to share your knowledge with young people.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and staff.
Experience teaching Psychology at Key Stage 4 and 5 is desirable, but not essential.
A commitment to high standards of teaching and student welfare.
