We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to take on a new role working with stroke patients. Could this be the opportunity for you?

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and experienced Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a dynamic inpatient rehabilitation team specializing in stroke recovery. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality therapy to stroke patients, supporting them through their rehabilitation journey. This is a full-time position, with part-time options available.

Setting: Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit

Location: East Midlands
Position: Full-Time (Part-Time Considered)
Hourly Rate: £25 - £27 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver person-centred occupational therapy to patients in the stroke rehabilitation unit, supporting their recovery and rehabilitation goals.
• Conduct comprehensive assessments, develop treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, and nursing staff, to provide holistic care.
• Assist patients in improving their independence in daily activities, including mobility, self-care, and cognitive functioning.
• Maintain accurate documentation and contribute to patient reviews and progress reports.
• Provide education and advice to patients and their families, supporting them in managing long-term rehabilitation.

Requirements:

• A qualified and HCPC-registered Occupational Therapist.
• Experience working in stroke rehabilitation or similar inpatient settings is essential.
• Strong clinical skills, with experience in assessment, treatment planning, and goal setting.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A compassionate, patient-centred approach to care.
• Full-time availability, with the option for part-time hours.
