BEHAVIOUR SUPPORT

Full time, Bradford SEMH

We are currently recruiting for behaviour support assistant specialising in sports or Physical Education for a secondary SEMH school in Bradford.

The role is a full-time term time only placement with an opportunity of becoming permanent. If you are a Graduate Sports Coach/enthusiast and have a real passion for working with vulnerable children with SEMH and complex behaviour needs then this could be a fantastic opportunity for you.

Students attending the school have been permanently excluding from a mainstream school and present with social difficulties, emotional dysregulation and complex mental health difficulties. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right individual keen to develop their career in Education who is highly committed.

Job description and spec:

• Have a degree in sports, Diploma/GNVQ level in Sports or equivalent.
• Must be passionate about supporting pupils in an SEMH setting.
• Deliver innovative physical education sessions.
• Ability to re-direct escalating behaviour in a calm efficient and professional manner.
• Demonstrate your commitment to supporting learners in a positive climate for learning.
• Provide a nurturing and positive behaviour reinforcement approach.
• Innovative and use own initiative where needed.
• Liaise with other members of staff to stay up to date.

Must be willing to apply for a DBS or willing to undertake a new one.
