We are urgently seeking an EAL Coordinator for a Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover) position for Prospero Teaching , starting in January 2025.

As an EAL Coordinator, you will:

1. Provide targeted support to students with EAL, especially new arrivals.

2. Understand and address the unique emotional and academic needs of early additional language learners.

3. Deliver high-quality lessons focusing on the language of the curriculum.

4. Work empathetically with asylum seekers and their specific educational needs.

5. Utilize proficiency in a community language to connect with and support learners.

Requirements for the role:

1. A genuine passion for helping students succeed.

2. Experience working with EAL learners and delivering tailored curriculum support.

3. An understanding of the challenges faced by asylum seekers and a commitment to meeting their needs.

4. The ability to speak Turkish or Somali fluently.

5. The right to work in the UK (Applications requiring sponsorship will not be considered).
