Job Title: Project Manager
Contract Type: 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract(Potential toTransition to Permanent Based on Business Needs)

Purpose of the Role
We are seeking a Project Manager with at least 5 years of telecoms industry experience to oversee the delivery of projects through design, construction, and commissioning phases. The role involves managing a portfolio of projects to ensure value for money, timely delivery, and quality outcomes. Experience or knowledge in fibre network build and deployment is desirable, as is familiarity with cabinet installation processes.
Key Responsibilities
Project Management
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of telecoms projects, ensuring deadlines, quality standards, and budget targets are met.
Develop and maintain detailed project plans.
Collaborate with planning teams to create and monitor robust programmes.
Provide regular updates on project progress, addressing any delays or challenges effectively.
Stakeholder and Contractor Management
Lead meetings with design and build partners, fostering strong working relationships.
Serve as the key liaison between internal teams, contractors, and suppliers.
Implement effective change management strategies and ensure compliance with telecoms industry standards and specifications.
Financial and Commercial Oversight
Support budget management, including monitoring, forecasting, and certification of contractor payments.
Provide accurate cost and value data to assess project performance.
Deliver value-for-money outcomes throughout the project lifecycle.
Risk Management and Compliance
Identify, evaluate, and mitigate project and business delivery risks.
Maintain a comprehensive risk and opportunity register.
Ensure adherence to applicable codes, practices, and policies, including CDM regulations.
Skills & Experience Required
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the telecoms industry.
Knowledge of fibre network build processes and cabinet installation (desirable).
Strong expertise in commercial, contract, and project management.
Familiarity with NEC3 ECC forms or similar contracts (desirable).
Proven experience in:
Design, engineering assurance, and construction.
Health & Safety legislation and CDM regulations.
Risk and cost management.
Stakeholder and supplier relationship management.
Demonstrated success managing projects through their full lifecycle.
Proficiency in using industry-standard project management tools and technology.
Qualifications
Relevant degree, HND, or equivalent experience in a related field.
Personal Attributes
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent numerical and IT proficiency.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Proven leadership and people management abilities.
Effective problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
Highly organized, adaptable, and able to make sound decisions under pressure.
